Aruba - The Perfect Vacation

January/February 2016 - Five Years Later,,, Sunsets are still as beautiful

Aruba 2016
I decided to update the Aruba Blog as many people have asked me to send it to them and I thought I would include pictures from the last few years. We still love Aruba and are blessed to be able to go every year.  Hope you enjoy "Our Aruba".

2016 Aruba Additions

Beautiful Aruban Trupial (Oriole family)

A Bananaquit Bird (known as "Sugar Thief)  feeding her two little babies

The man who did this Sand Sculpture took 70 hours to do this amazing piece (he does one each year).

The Super Bowl is shown on a screen placed in the water with seats sold to watch on the beach.  Our viewing is from our Room Balcony.

"The Old" - This wood boat "Hilda" has been anchored for years and always in perfect condition  and "The New" in the background - The Jolly Pirate Snorkel Ship
On our last night in Aruba I got down on one knee and proposed to Mike for our upcoming 50th Anniversary on 4/23/16 - he said YES.

Below is my original Blog from 2011

Thursday, February 10, 2011

Well, here we are coming to the end of our Aruba vacation.  As many of you know, we come here every year and love Aruba, it is a very special place for us.  It embraces the three "F's" of vacation... friends, food and fun.  We have met so many terrific people over the last 28 years coming to our home resort, Playa Linda which we consider "Our Home Away From Home".   There is nothing much to do except enjoy the wonderful weather and relax, so this will conclude the narrative for this blog... let the pictures tell the story.

Love,

Pat & Mike
